Welcome Home (Clip)

A queer college student must return to work at a burger joint in her hometown amid her parents getting a divorce and must confront her romantic feelings for her ex-best friend.

Sanctuary

"Priya, an exceptional yet dangerously obsessive pianist at Berklee School of Music, cannot fathom how her senior showcase assignment—to compose a piece that encapsulates her greatest fear—misses the mark, according to the unorthodox Professor Argerich. While she struggles to find where she went wrong, isolating herself in a practice room, we learn about the painful reasons Priya became a pianist. It isn’t until her four years estranged mother, Lakshmi, reaches out that Priya understands where her true fear really lies. “Sanctuary” shows how true artistry and vulnerability often go hand-in-hand."

A Portrait

Written, Directed and Edited by Nicole DeLong.

An artist walks up to an easel and sits down. Prepared to draw a portrait. A man sits across from her in the medium gray room. He is dressed plainly and looks forward towards the artist. A voice-over compares the artist to the lover beginning to break the fundamentals of a portrait down into three parts: line, color, and the fleeting moment.

As the film continues its representations grow from technical to the every day as we analyze what makes a portrait as well as one's view of another. In the third act, the voice-over becomes more personal detailing specific moments in time and memories shared, as the line between portrait and love grows more blurred.
